Merger of Wind Engineering Center and VPEC

Global Sky Group announces the merger of subsidiary Wind Engineering Center Co. with VPEC Co., Ltd as of December 24, 2013, with the aim of strengthening Global Sky’s environmental engineering business.

1. Purpose of management integration
To strengthen the environmental engineering business of Global Sky Group and to combine the knowledge and management resources of both companies to tackle the environmental and energy problems surrounding cities and buildings.

Wind Engineering Center Co., Ltd (President: Akira Takami) mainly designs and develops the smart grid system “ECO Network”, which is the world’s foremost design and engineering system for electrical and mechanical equipment, developed specifically for the wind tunnel business.

By combining the design capabilities and know-how of VPEC Co., Ltd. (President: Satoshi Nagata), it will be possible to consistently undertake the design, construction, operation, control, and maintenance of locally produced, locally consumed, autonomous and decentralised energy systems.
