GSE launches Kinder Garden Project in Rockhampton, Australia

In collaboration with The Dreamtime Cultural Centre Rockhampton, Global Sky Education is delighted to be undertaking an amazing horticultural project with our Kindergarten children at the Capricorn Region Services under the Friends of the Dreamtime Volunteering Involvement Program.

The aim of the project is to enable children and educators to investigate and explore Indigenous, sustainable agricultural practices including plant food farming techniques on a plot of land within the Dreamtime Cultural Centre. In collaboration, we will cultivate and nurture this plant-food garden as a living example of sustainable Indigenous plant food farming and food preparation techniques in action.

The children will be involved from the ground up including creating the garden beds, preparing the soil, selecting from a wide range of native herbs and bush food plants, planting, tending and harvesting the produce.
